- CFD Simulation Department Founder
- Founded the CFD department of the ÉTS Student Rocketry Team. Workload involved simulating and correlating the engine's combustion mechanisms to on-field data via CFD simulations. Supersonic flight conditions predictions were also simulated towards stability and flame expansion studies.
- Engine Optimization Engineer
- Used the newly created CFD models to optimize critical components of a paraffine-NOS hybrid rocket engine. Created new design concepts for injector plates and nozzles to increase engine thrust. Optimized and created new methodology for the paraffine-based fuel cartridge.
- Field Engineer
- Designed and realized test plans for live-fire engine testing that were further used for CFD validation. Analyzed in-flight and test bench data for precise correlation, mainly fuel regression rate, oxidizer flow rates and pressure drop in the HRE.
- Aerodynamics Researcher
- Responsible for CFD validation, wind-tunnel correlation and on-track influence.
- Automated the mesh and aeromap generation pipeline for easy cluster integration.
- Automated data collection and analysis through plug-and-play Python scripts.
- Responsible for all on-cluster CFD operations and optimizations.
- Worked on the implementation of air-cooled in-hub EV motors for DELTA-26.
- In charge of the knowledge transfer to the new members within the aerodynamics department.
- Vehicle Dynamics Engineer
Developed a full tyre model based on Pacejka's Magic Formula towards modelling cornering vehicle dynamics. Ended up coding a lap-time simulation script for a DSSV suspension geometry and proprietary vehicle dynamics characteristics.
- Cornering Aerodynamics Simulation Engineer
Developed a fully parameterized and optimized CFD model template for steady-state cornering based on the aforementioned Vehicle Dynamics model. This model was validated against the already verified straight-line model for high cornering radii situations and against on-track data.
- Team Management
- Welcomed and assured the formation of 12 interns over the course of 1.5 years. Managed high-turnover workforce to increase research productivity, data production and analysis. Introduced soon-to-be engineers to high-level CFD modelling techniques.
- Adjoint-driven Optimization of Tubercle LE applied to Morphing
- Optimization of tubercled leading-edge wings towards in-flight deformation (morphing) for fuel consumption decrease purposes. The Adjoint Solver deforms the part to give it an optimal shape for different, specified flight conditions and for different objective functions.
- AI-based Prediction Model of Tubercle Shapes Performance
- Creation of an AI surrogate that predicts the performance of tubercle wings following their amplitude and wavelength. Predictions are within the thousandth of a percent to CFD results. Dataset was generated through SolidWorks automation macros.
- RANS, URANS & LES Modelling
- Studied the tubercle effect pre-stall and post-stall of a tubercle wing through the prism of different equation and turbulence models and different CFD softwares.
- Team Co-Captain
- Co-managed a team of 20–40 engineering students. In charge of school relationships, partnerships, recruitment, training, human resources, and department coordination.
- Lead Aerodynamicist
- Managed a small team of 4 people to design DELTA-25's aeropackage. Oversaw an innovative sidepod design for motors/inverters heat management. Designed a new front wing and an innovative wing-based undertray design resulting in a 20% increase in downforce.
- Co-Lead Chassis & SES
- Design and simulation of the second generation of carbon-fiber monocoque for EV prototypes. Aerodynamics-driven optimization of the chassis shape. In-house manufacturing of the monocoque with pre-preg carbon fiber. Ensured rule-compliance of the assembly through Structural Equivalency.
- Welding Operations Manager
- Verified welding-related designs and rule compliance. Responsible for welding-related logistics (pre & post-processing). Welded (TIG) safety roll-cages and suspension components. Ensured training of new welders. Quality control after heat treatment and black-zinc treatment operations.
- Data analysis of the first ever wind-tunnel validation of Formule ETS
- CFD model study and calibration towards wind-tunnel data
- Developed a new undertray/bargeboard assembly for MANIC-24
- Improved heat management of motors/inverters by 40%
- Adjoint-driven optimization of a tubercle wing section
- Presentation of a paper to AIAA SCITECH 2025 Forum in Florida
- Organized the archiving of 10 years' worth of client data
- Created an adapted classification for said data
- Certified First Aid Responder (PSE2) (highest non-medical certification)
- Participated in over 80 First Aid Operations
- Operations ranging from music-festival First Aid Stations to primary-school interventions
- Designed a few websites when I used to want to become a Computer Science major. Learned enough basics to code the full front-end of a website and gained the will to learn new languages.
